Privacy Statement for DilbeckMarketing.com

Home > Privacy

John Dilbeck, owner of Dilbeck Marketing and other companies, including JohnDilbeck.com, has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate my firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses my information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: DilbeckMarketing.com.

John L. Dilbeck is an affiliate for a number of companies that sell products and services on the Internet. By clicking on an affiliate link on this website, you will be connected to that merchant's site. Any purchases or inquiries you make there only involve me because I may receive a commission from your purchase. I will not have any access to your personal information, unless you join their affiliate program with me as your referrer, in which case I may be given your email address and other contact information, with your approval.

John L. Dilbeck is an independent dealer for several companies and collects information from clients for the purpose of placing an order and delivering the merchandise. This information may be shared with manufacturers and suppliers in order to process the order.

John L. Dilbeck is an independent dealer for Kaeser & Blair, Inc., and may place orders for you through their organization. They will handle credit checks, processing of the order, and collections. I will have only the personal information you give me as a part of processing your order.

Dilbeck Marketing does not share any of your data with any individuals nor organizations, other than as described in the preceding paragraphs. We do not rent, lease, sell, nor trade email nor address information with anyone else. Occasionally, I may purchase leads that have your contact information so that I may contact you with one or more of my offers.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address may be used to gather broad demographic information. Other demographic information may be gathered by our web hosting provider. We have no control over any information they may collect.

This site contains links to other sites. Dilbeck Marketing is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Our site may use one or more order forms for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect visitor's contact information (such as your email address, telephone number(s) and physical address). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to our customers. The customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with the customer when necessary. Visitors may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Nowhere on this site do we collect any data which may be sensitive, such as medical records, lifestyle choices, and so forth.

If you place an order through this site, your credit and credit card information may be collected for the purposes of fulfilling your order. Orders placed through Kaeser & Blair will include your credit and/or credit card information. By placing an order, and/or filling out a credit application, you grant the right to forward your information to them for processing.

All other credit and debit card transactions are completed through the services of PayPal using their secure servers. We never have access to your private financial data, such as credit card numbers, bank account information, or other similar confidential information. We have no control over PayPal's operations or how they may use any private information you may provide to them. Please see their website for any privacy statements.

Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact information (such as your email address) and demographic information (including your zip code, age, or interests). Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.

Public Forums
This site makes mailing lists available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Participation in the mailing lists is strictly on an opt-in basis, which means you must actively subscribe to the list to receive messages, and you must send email specifically to the list to disseminate messages. At any time, you may choose to cancel your subscription.

Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. No sensitive information other than contact information and physical addresses are kept. Nobody but John L. Dilbeck has any access to this data, and it will be deleted or corrected if you should ever desire it.

Children's Guidelines
(Note: Dilbeck Marketing, JohnDilbeck.com, and my other websites are intended for adults although children should find no objectionable material. Email messages are not censored nor moderated and we expect participants to remember they are discoursing in public and to act responsibly. No marketing is directed at children and we do not solicit information from children. Parents should, of course, exercise their parental oversight responsibilities on this and any other site.)

Caveats and Disclaimer
I recommend several companies and opportunities on this site. I've researched the offers they make and the companies as well as I'm able. I have had good results from these companies, their products, and the opportunities they offer. Some are affiliate programs, others offer the opportunity to become an independent sales representative both online and offline. There are no guarantees of income from any of these companies. Most affiliates (as many as 95%) never earn any income from affiliate programs. Some earn thousands of dollars each month. It takes skill, creativity, and lots of visitors to your websites to earn a substantial income from affiliate programs. I earn a few hundred dollars here and there. I'm not getting rich and I don't state that I am. There is little risk involved in affiliate programs, but you can lose money if you choose to spend money advertising and promoting your site. There are no costs to join and you don't have to purchase anything, but it's hard to recommend something honestly if you have no experience with using it.

Some of the companies offer a sales position as an independent sales representative. You own your own business and are not an employee of those companies. Income is from commissions only and you can't get a draw or advance. You are responsible for your own accounting and taxes. You may lose money, just as you can in any other business, depending upon how much you spend and invest. You are not required to purchase products for resale. You can earn a substantial income from diligent work and creative marketing, but it is not guaranteed. As in any other business, the amount of risk and loss may be controlled by the decisions you make in running the business.

Cost of entrance to these opportunities is much lower than purchasing a franchise or developing your own products, so the risk is lower. However, again, there are no guarantees nor promises of any particular income level.

You will not get rich overnight.

It takes significant time and effort to build a business, especially a business that doesn't have a store-front in a good location. To earn money from a website, you must learn how to attract large numbers of targeted visitors to your site and then sell them your products. Individuals have different levels of skills and talents in these areas. It is not uncommon for someone to lose money for two years or more when building a business and it is common for it to take three years or more before you will start to earn a profit. If you need money now, you're best approach may be to secure a traditional job. Whatever you choose to do, it is your decision and your responsibility.
